New GM of JW Marriott Jakarta PDF Print E-mail
Jakarta, Indonesia, July 2007:  Richard Martin Saul has been appointed General Manager of the JW Marriott Jakarta Hotel, replacing Greg Allan who has taken up his new assignment in the Singapore Marriott Hotel.

Richard was most recently General Manager (GM) of the 860-room Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Hong Kong.
 
His hotel experience began in Australia.  Prior to joining Marriott he worked for Regent, Hyatt, and Pan Pacific.  He joined Marriott at the Renaissance Inya Lake Hotel in Myanmar and was later promoted to GM of the Renaissance Palm Garden Hotel in Malaysia.  In 2000 he became GM of Marriott’s Courtyard Surfer’s Paradise Resort and then moved to the Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel. He has won various Marriott awards including Rookie GM of the Year, Courtyard GM of the Year and the 2006 Renaissance Hotel of the Year. 
 
Richard has clearly had great success in the hotels he leads and he has gained broad experience in several Asian and Pacific hotels.  “I am delighted take up this assignment in one of Jakarta’s top hotels.  The JW Marriott Jakarta Hotel is not only successful in this market, it is also renowned in the Marriott family because of its legendary service.   It’s a great privilege to be here”.

Singapore, 13 July, 2007: Hilton Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of Ailynn Seah as Director of Sales & Marketing bolstering a strong leadership team within the hotel.

She  brings a wealth of marketing and business development skills to Hilton Singapore having over 17 years of experience in hotel sales & marketing.  Ailynn joins Hilton Singapore from Marina Mandarin and Meritus Hotels and Resorts where she played a strategic role both at property and regional capacity including various hotel openings in China, Vietnam and Malaysia. In her new role, she will provide leadership to the Sales & Marketing, Marketing Communications and Revenue management team.
 
Ailynn earned a MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull in United Kingdom.  Being an avid art fan and a veteran marketer, she is also a Founding Member of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI Asia Chapter) and has played a key role in numerous fund raising projects in aid of arts related and the underprivileged children charitable organizations.

SHANGHAI, CHINA – July 02,  2007: Having acquired a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry over the past two decades, Michel L. Goget has been appointed to helm The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya as general manager. The 451-room resort, which is the first China resort in the company, is slated for an early 2008 opening in Yalong Bay, Hainan Province.

Goget began his career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in 1999 at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia, where he embarked on a 35-day General Manager Fast Track Training Program.  In November that year, he was named General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn in Dearborn, Michigan and subsequently joined The Ritz-Carlton, Tyson’s Corner in McLean, Virginia in the same capacity; a position he held prior to his current appointment.

Before joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Goget held several general manager and senior executive positions for 10 years in Dolce International, Europe; Disneyland Paris, Marriott Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group, Sheraton Hotels, Hotel Loews Monte Carlo/Fairmont and Marco Beach Hotel and Villas in Florida. Under his stewardship, The Ritz-Carlton, Tyson’s Corner was awarded “Keys to Luxury – Transient Sales Team of the Year 2005” and “Meetings and Special Events Leader of the Year for the North-east/Mid-west Region 2005.” Additional recognition included “Nomination for Host Hotels and Resorts General Manager of the Year for Large Hotels” and “Host Hotels and Resorts Sales and Marketing Award for Large Hotels” both in 2004 and 2006.

Goget also lent his expertise as an opening and task force member with The Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Tokyo, Dearborn and Washington, D.C.; Euro Disney, Newport Bay Club Hotel, Paris and Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Florida, to name a few.

June 21, 2007: Dusit Hotels & Reosrts announces the appointment of Jennifer Cronin as Vice President-Sales & Marketing, effective immediately.  Reporting directly to Octavio Gamarra, Senior Vice President, Ms Cronin’s responsibility for all sales and marketing will also include, the upcoming rebranding launch and roll out, sales deployment, and distribution channel development, as Dusit embarks on its extensive international development.

Based in Singapore for almost six years, her most previous position was Executive Assistant Manager Sales & Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Singapore for two years.  She was also Area Director of Marketing SE Asia and Grand Hyatt Singapore Director of Marketing, and was responsible for relaunching the property after extensive renovations.

Ms Cronin holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Bond University in Australia, and.. was also awarded the MBA Director’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.  As a Rotary Exchange Student in Japan, she is also conversant in Japanese. She brings with her over 20 years experience in her field, in both operations and sales and marketing.

June 20, 2007, Singapore: Raffles Hotel takes pleasure in announcing the appointment of David Lama as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. Mr Lama, a French citizen, and who graduated from the Centre International de Glion, Switzerland with a Bachelor in Hotel and Restaurant Management as well as from the ESSEC Business School, Paris, France with a MBA in International Luxury Brand Management, joins us with several years of experience both in the hospitality and sales industry.

Prior to this appointment, Mr Lama was the Director of Sales of Silversea Cruises SAM, Monaco.  Mr Lama's other work experience includes a ESSEC MBA field project with Christian Dior, Paris; Director of Sales with Hotel de Crillon, Paris; and with several international hotels in Japan and Germany.

Mr Lama who reports directly to Robert Logan, General Manager, will oversee the management of the Sales & Marketing Division.
